SAii Phi Phi Island Village

Environment: The hotel's strength lies in its ambiance. Its private beach is, in my opinion, the quietest and least crowded on Phi Phi Island, allowing for swimming with minimal disturbance from boats. However, its drawbacks are also obvious. After sunset, except for the restaurant, streetlights are scarce, requiring a flashlight to navigate the woods, which can be a bit intimidating. The beach itself is also pitch black; more lighting and perhaps live performances or a beach chair bar at night would have been helpful. Service: It's completely self-service; any services require checking the app, making reservations, or calling. During my five-day stay, I experienced virtually no service. Before departure, worried about typhoons and our honeymoon, I emailed the hotel twice, one week apart, but received no response. Upon arrival, there were no honeymoon decorations. In contrast, the other two hotels I booked in Phuket not only responded but also provided flowers, cakes, and handwritten cards. This was a major disappointment. I spent five of my eight-day honeymoon at this hotel, and the service was the worst. Facilities: All amenities, including the on-site activities listed on the website, are charged. Paddleboards, kayaks, snorkeling masks, and cooking classes are all charged per person per hour. Everything in the minibar is also charged, and the price is three times higher than in the village behind. It's a high-end island pricing model, but without the high-end service. Fortunately, it was off-season, so the price was a bit advantageous.
